Our A-Team, Woody & Dawn, traveled out to Orange Park, Fla. to organize a Mercedes Benz tool room.
Transcript of Mercedes-Benz Tools Storage & Toolsguard Inventory Provider
Ok, we’re just wrapping up here. We’re at Mercedes-Benz of Orange Park. We are in Orange Park, Florida. This shows you how their tool room turned out.
We installed the tool panels system to this tool room. We hung up their tools in a numerical sequence.
We also put Toolsguard on it, so every tool has a QR code, has a place. All the guys who download the app on their phones and when they need a specialty tool they’ll come into the tool room.
There will be a lock on it. They can operate the lock with the app and it will recognize who came into the tool room.
When they come in here to sign out a tool they can either use a number or description, from outside the room or when they get into the room they can scan the QR code.
Everything has a QR code… everything has a home.
(continued from above…)
Over here is a Tool Organization rack system. These are the people you contact. Here is the phone number for Toolorg.com and they’ll give you an evaluation of your tool room and get a free estimate.
In the back we installed a …. for them. This show you their panels. Everything is labeled nice.
Ok, over here are their shelves. All those kits and small totes (another product of Tool Org). We make up these kits with a QR code with their number so the technician knows where to return the tool.
Over here are all their test cables… same thing. They all have a QR code. So, if the technician needs that cable he can come in the tool room and scan it. He can sign it out from outside the room or whatever he chooses to do.
We also have a few things outside the room setup for them that seem to work real good for BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
We setup this tool chest where we store all of their spring compressor tools.
With that, we worked for Aaron, Josh and Z. Great group. And we’re going to go ahead and shut er’ down.
